Rocket League Pro SettingsWhat Most Pros Use, Counted Instead of Guessed

Copying one pro’s settings is a gamble. Counting hundreds is safer. We went through the settings of 590 notable players on Liquipedia: 94% play at FOV 110, 81% at distance 270, and 87% use a cross deadzone. Here’s the full picture and a setup to start from.

Method

How These Numbers Were Counted

Liquipedia keeps the camera, deadzone and control settings of 590 notable players, meaning players with more than $2,000 in career prize money. Camera settings go stale, so we only counted the 450 camera profiles updated since October 16, 2024. Read on October 16, 2026. If you’d rather have someone look at your own replays than copy a table, Rocket League coaching does exactly that.

Camera settings

Pro Camera Settings

450 players with camera settings updated since October 16, 2024. The last column is the median, or the second most used value.

What each camera setting does

FOV: how wide you see. Nearly every pro maxes it out at 110 or 109.

Distance and height: how far behind and above the car the camera sits.

Angle: how much the camera tilts down toward the car.

Stiffness: how much the camera pulls back at speed. Lower means it pulls back more.

Swivel speed: how fast the camera turns when you move it with the right stick.

Transition speed: how fast the camera swings to the ball when you turn ball cam on.

Controller feel

Pro Deadzone and Sensitivity Settings

590 players. Deadzone is how far you push the stick before the game reacts; dodge deadzone is how far you push it before a jump becomes a flip.

Check your stick first

A low deadzone only works on a stick that rests at center. If your car drifts with the stick untouched, raise the deadzone until it stops. Worn controllers often need more than the pros use.

Settings aren’t the issue?

Find What Actually Holds You Back

A former pro reviews your replays, live or async, and gives you the two or three fixes that matter.

Bindings

Pro Control Bindings

Most pros play on controller, and most list PlayStation buttons. Xbox players use the same positions (A for Cross, B for Circle).

ActionMost usedShareNext most used

BoostCircle57%R1 (23%)
PowerslideL142%Square (33%)
Ball camTriangle81%Y (9%)
ThrottleR283%RT (9%)
BrakeL283%LT (9%)

The bindings worth copying are the ones that free your thumb: boost off the face button you jump with, and powerslide on a shoulder button so you can drift and air roll without letting go of the stick.

Practical

A Setup to Start From

Take the most common pro values, play a week with them, then change one thing at a time.

Starting setup

  • Camera shake off, FOV 110, distance 270, height 100, angle -3.0.
  • Stiffness 0.35, swivel speed about 5.3, transition speed 1.50.
  • Ball camera on Toggle.
  • Deadzone shape Cross, deadzone 0.05 (higher if your stick drifts), dodge deadzone 0.70.
  • Steering and aerial sensitivity 1.50.

Change one setting per session, never three at once, or you won’t know what helped.

Give a new camera a few days. Everything feels wrong for the first hour.

Height and angle are the most personal: pros split between height 90 and 100, and angle -3 to -5.

Practise the new feel in training packs before ranked.
