Every duo order works the same way. You stay on your account and a high-elo booster queues with you from theirs. Below you'll find what's included, the duo rules Riot sets and how the price is built. After that comes scheduling, and when solo boost or coaching makes more sense.
What Is LoL Duo Boosting?
Duo boosting means you play ranked on your own account while a GM or Challenger booster queues with you as your duo partner. Some players call it duo carry or self-play boost. Same thing here. You're buying a rank, and you play every game of it.

Duo Queue Rank Restrictions and Requirements
Two things decide whether a duo can start. Your account needs ranked unlocked, and both accounts have to fit Riot's duo limits. Riot lists what your account needs in its Unlocking Game Modes article and the duo limits in its Ranked Tiers, Divisions, and Queues article. We checked both on October 6, 2026. Riot changes them from time to time, so we check again before your first game.
What your account needs before the first game
- Ranked unlocked. Level 30, at least 20 champions and 10 finished Swiftplay or Normal Draft games.
- Right server. Your account has to be on the server where you'll play the duo.
- Free time. Give us more than one time window, because the quote doesn't hold a booster or a start time.
- Extras. Voice Duo and Role Selection cost extra, so add them only if you need them.

How a Duo Boost Order Runs
Queueing with a high-elo player is where it starts. Here's what happens before the first game and after each session.
Your route and the duo limits
Pick your rank, your target and your LP, then add any extras. A quote doesn't confirm that Riot allows the pair or that a booster is free.
A time that works for both of you
Tell us when you can play. We lock the start once a GM or Challenger booster on your server, inside Riot's duo limits, can join.
The games
You stay on your account and play every game. Voice only comes with Voice Duo, and the base order isn't a coaching lesson.
Progress and the next session
Check your progress on the order page and set the next session if the route isn't done. A recap or VOD review belongs to Coaching unless we agree on it.
Duo Boost Price and How Your Quote Is Built
Duo starts at $5.99 a division. The calculator takes your rank route, then your current LP, the LP you get per win and any extras. On the same route duo costs 1.4 times what solo does. We work it out in USD and convert after. Your server changes who's free and when, but it doesn't change the price.

What is LoL duo boosting?
You play ranked on your own account and a GM or Challenger booster queues with you as your duo. You're buying a rank, and you play every game of it. Want lessons on top? That's Coaching, a separate service.
Is duo boosting bannable?
On paper, yes. Riot's boosting policy reaches duo too. In practice it's the safest way to buy a boost, and it isn't close. Your login never leaves your hands, so Riot never sees a stranger on your account from the other side of the world. You stay logged in and play every game yourself. On the booster's side we use security methods we keep private, and that's part of what you're paying for. We won't call any boost risk free. Duo is as close as it gets.
What ranks can duo queue in League of Legends?
Riot sets the limits, and they get tighter the higher you go. Up to Platinum the window is wide, so a Gold player can queue with anyone from Silver to Platinum. Emerald can queue with Platinum up to Diamond III, but a Diamond IV to II player only accepts Emerald II or higher. That's why an Emerald 3 can't duo with a Diamond 4 while an Emerald 2 can. In Master you can only duo with another Master within 400 LP, or with a Diamond I if you're under 200 LP. Grandmaster and Challenger can't duo at all. Before your first game we check that your booster fits your window, so you never pay for a pairing the client won't let you queue. Going past Master? We still take you there. From that point you buy LP or wins through Win Boost.
Does duo queue make games harder?
A little, once you hit Emerald. Riot's lead gameplay designer said in August 2026 that duos get a small matchmaking adjustment in Emerald and Diamond and a bigger one above that, so both teams still get a fair game. Below Emerald you won't notice it. In our orders a duo climbs at about 75 to 83% of the speed of a solo boost. Where you land in that range depends on how you play for your rank and how far you're going. Options like Undercover Winrate and Moderate KDA slow it down a bit too. Above Emerald the lobby expects more from the two of you, and that's exactly where a GM or Challenger player in your party pays off.
Is it better to solo or duo queue?
Solo if speed is all you care about. Duo if you care about your account. On a solo order our booster logs in and plays for you, so the rank comes faster, but another player on your account is exactly what detection looks for. On a duo order nobody logs in. You queue with a GM or Challenger player and watch them carry from your own screen. Some people buy it to finally hit the rank they've been chasing for a season. Others just want a strong partner in their games with less risk than solo.
Do I have to give you my password for duo boost?
No. You stay logged in and play every game yourself, so nobody needs your login. Your booster queues from their own account.
How much does duo boost cost?
Duo starts at $5.99 a division. From there the price moves with your rank, your current LP, the LP you get per win and the extras you add. The calculator at the top gives you the exact number.
How do I set the start time?

What does my account need before I buy duo boost?
Ranked unlocked. Riot opens it at level 30 once you have 20 champions and 10 finished Swiftplay or Normal Draft games. The account also has to be on the server you want to play on.
Is voice chat included with duo boost?
No. Voice Duo is an extra that adds 10% to the base price. Skip it if you'd rather not talk during games.
Can I pick my booster's role?
Yes, with Role Selection, which adds 10% to the base price. Without it we can't promise a specific role.
Is coaching included in a duo boost order?
No. A duo order doesn't come with lessons, VOD review or a practice plan. If getting better is the main goal, LoL Coaching is the right pick.
What's the difference between duo boost and duo carry?
Same service. Duo carry is just what some players call it, because the booster carries the game while you play. Either way you queue live with a high-elo player on your own account.
What happens after a duo session?
Your progress stays on the order page. If the route isn't done, we set up the next session around both your times. It isn't a coaching recap unless you bought coaching.
