Clash with a hired player: what changes
Your tier can move. Riot builds your team tier from a weighted average that leans on your best player. Add a Grandmaster and you may play one tier higher than usual, against stronger teams, for better rewards. The form asks for your current tier so the player you hire is strong enough for where you will actually land.
Everyone still needs to be eligible. Clash asks every player for level 30, ranked placements this year or last, a verified phone number and a ticket. Your players meet all of it on their own accounts, and you only handle your own entry.
A bracket is one day. Eight teams, single elimination, three wins for the trophy. Your booking covers the whole day, from lock-in and scouting to your last match. Book both days to play Saturday and Sunday.

Ranked 5s with pro teammates
Ranked 5s is Riot's weekend queue for full five-stacks. The current run goes from September 11, 2026 to January 7, 2027, open Friday to Sunday from 4 PM to 2 AM server time. Any rank can queue together, drafts use the tournament format (3 bans, 3 picks, 2 bans, 2 picks) and the LP is separate from Solo/Duo and Flex.
Rewards follow the highest tier your team reaches, with a banner from Gold up. Two or three strong players plus a shotcaller is usually the fastest route there. Book per game, or per hour for a full evening.

Amateur tournaments, leagues and scrims
Community cups, university leagues and amateur circuits all write their own roster rules. Some let you register a substitute on match day, others lock rosters weeks ahead or cap the rank of each player. Read your rules first, then book the player you are allowed to field. Our players join as a named substitute on their own account.
Scrims are the easiest place to start. Book a few hours with a coach-player: they play the lane you are missing and walk your team through each game afterwards, so the practice sticks.
How to choose the right player
Lane first. Hire for the lane that loses you games, not the one that is empty. A strong jungler shapes the whole map; a strong support calls the fights.
Then rank. Players always sit above the level of the games: Diamond teams start at Master, Master teams and Clash Tier I start at Grandmaster.
Carry. Takes over games with their best champions. Pick it when your team loses to one strong lane.
Flex pick. Plays what your draft needs from a wide champion pool. Pick it for tournament draft, where bans hit one-tricks.
Shotcaller. Runs voice comms on Discord: dragons, Baron calls, when to group. Pick it when your team plays well but plays apart.
Coach-player. Plays with you and explains what happened after each game. Pick it for scrims and for teams that want to improve, not only win today.
