How it’s measured
Tested, fully upgraded
Real top speed runs, not the stat bars, which don’t reflect top speed.
Why Tested Speeds Beat the Stats Screen
The speed bars in the garage aren’t a reliable guide to which car tops out highest. The numbers on this page are Broughy1322’s tested top speeds, published on his vehicle database, GTACars.net, with every car fully upgraded. We pulled them on October 16, 2026. Weaponized cars and ones with rocket boosts are left out of the main list, because they don’t race like normal cars. Want one of these in your garage on day one? Many GTA 5 accounts come with them already.

Top speed is not lap time
A car that wins a straight line can lose a race. The lap time column is Broughy1322’s reference lap, so check both before you pick a car for races.
The Fastest Cars With HSW Upgrades

How to Pick a Fast Car for What You Do
Racing: look at lap time first. Corners decide most races in GTA Online.
Getting across the map: top speed matters more, and a fast bike often beats a car through traffic.
On PS5, Xbox Series or PC Enhanced: an HSW car out-runs anything on the normal list.
Check the class: some race playlists only allow certain classes, so the fastest overall car may not be eligible.
Upgrade fully before you judge. Every number here is with all performance upgrades fitted.
