FC 27 PlayStylesEvery PlayStyle and PlayStyle+, and the Ones EA Rebalanced
PlayStyles decide what a player does better than their numbers say. FC 27 has 36 of them, each with a stronger PlayStyle+ version, and EA rebalanced ten so attributes matter more. This is every one, in EA’s words, grouped by what it helps you do.

FC 27 change

Ultimate Team
Three PlayStyle+ at most
Special items now carry up to three PlayStyle+, down from five in FC 26.
How PlayStyles Work in FC 27
A PlayStyle activates on its own when the player performs the action it covers, and a PlayStyle+ shows a badge over the player’s head when it fires. You don’t press anything extra. In Ultimate Team you can add PlayStyles through Evolutions, within the limits each Evo sets. Picking the right ones is one part of it; the matches are the other, and that’s where our EA FC boosting team can help.
Where players get PlayStyles
- Ultimate Team: on the item, or added through Evolutions and the PlayStyles Lab.
- The Grounds and Player Career: by reaching attribute thresholds or picking them as you level.
- Manager Career: through Training and the Youth Academy.
- Any mode: test them risk free in the Practice Arena or Play Now.

The Ten PlayStyles EA Rebalanced
EA’s aim was to stop PlayStyles from feeling overpowered and let attributes count. These are the changes it listed.
| PlayStyle | Change |
|---|---|
| Finesse Shot | Spin, speed and off-angle effect now scale with the shooter’s attributes. |
| Technical | Smaller gap between the base and the + version. |
| Intercept | Players without it but with high Interceptions reach further. |
| Rapid | Smaller speed boost to dribbling animations. |
| Quick Step | Smaller boost when dribbling and accelerating. |
| Pinged Pass | No longer helps the receiver’s first touch. |
| Tiki Taka | No animation speed boost and no first touch help. |
| Jockey | Faster jockey sprint for players without it. |
| Precision Header | Smaller gap between the base and the + version. |
| Low Driven Shot | No extra shot speed. Still adds accuracy. |
How it plays out
A base attribute now carries more of the load. Acceleration matters more than Quick Step, and a high Interceptions defender can read lanes without the PlayStyle.

Which PlayStyles to Look For
These picks follow directly from how FC 27 plays.
Defenders: Intercept, Anticipate and Jockey fit a game where you make every tackle yourself.
Strikers: Low Driven Shot still adds accuracy, and EA notes near post low drives are strong right now.
Wingers: Whipped Pass pairs with the new crossing, where aim and power decide the landing spot.
Midfielders: Incisive Pass helps now that through passes follow your aim exactly.
Corners: Precision Header and Aerial Fortress matter more with manual positioning in the box.
Test before you invest: try a player in the Practice Arena first, as EA itself suggests.
