Hardstuck Gold Breakout Guide - The 5 Fixes That Work

Last updated: 10 Jan 2026

Gold is where mechanics start to matter, but macro still wins. Here are five fixes that consistently break Gold.

1) Fix Your Wave Control

Most Gold players push randomly. Instead:

  • Freeze when you’re ahead
  • Slow push before roams
  • Crash waves before recalls

Wave control alone can win you 100–200 LP.

2) Learn Reset Timing

Bad resets lose games. Recall only after you crash a wave or secure an objective.

3) Stop Random Fights

If there’s no objective, the fight is usually bad. Focus on fights that lead to dragon, Herald, or towers.

4) Champion Pool Discipline

Shrink your pool to 2–3 champions. This increases matchup knowledge and lowers decision mistakes.

5) Track the Enemy Jungle

Gold players die to ganks. Track the enemy jungler and ward based on expected pathing.

Quick Improvement Plan

  • Review 3 deaths per game
  • Fix the wave state before each recall
  • Play for objective timers
