Support Warding Guide - Vision Lines That Win Games

Vision wins games. The best supports don’t just ward—they control the map by placing wards that protect their team and enable objectives. Here’s a clear warding plan you can follow.

1) Early Lane Warding

Your first ward depends on jungle pathing:

• If enemy jungle starts bot: ward river at 2:30.
• If enemy jungle starts top: ward tri-bush at 3:00.

This timing blocks the first gank window.

2) Mid-Game Vision Lines

Once plates fall, your job changes. You ward objectives and entrances, not random bushes.

Priority wards:

• Raptor entrance
• Dragon pit and river choke
• Enemy blue entrance

3) Objective Setup Vision

The team with vision first usually wins the fight. Start setting vision 60 seconds before:

1. Place a control ward in the pit
2. Sweep nearby brush
3. Hold a ward to re-place after a fight

4) Defensive Warding When Behind

If you’re losing, you need defensive lines:

• Ward your jungle entrances
• Avoid deep wards without backup
• Use your ADC to escort you

5) Sweeper Timing

Swap to sweeper after your first back if your lane has priority. If you’re behind, keep trinket and play defensively.

7) Practical Warding Checklist

• Do we have priority?
